The hole in her heart was making her blue, kidney damage adding a bright yellow tinge. We were very lucky, Caitlin was born in Perth, the west Australian capital. The doctors at Princess Margaret Hospital for children saved the day and her future. After two operations and some very good drugs she is now a gorgeous teenager. Reading your page brought back the memories and anguish that i had locked away. I feel very deeply for both of you and hope that the future brings you great happiness. Jay and I totally believe after having gone also through the loss of a child, however, like you said, different circumstances, that talking about it is the best. Of course, taking it to God first is ultimate priority. Just some things, I am sure you have already discovered that the Bible speaks louder and clearer to you than ever before. Yeah! We sure need God's Word to get through. Second, we had someone leave us with these words of advice. First of all, stay close to God! Then take care of one another and stay close to each other. These kinds of circumstances are hard on a marriage. In fact, these words came from a divorced man from a marriage that did get out of sorts after losing a child. We have learned humility in allowing other's to serve us, through Friends and Church members helping us with meals, house cleaning, rides and care for our other children. We have really seen the body of Christ come together in so many people. We still have 16-20 hours of Nursing a day. He has been to the Hospital 2 times since coming home on Feb. 23. The first time was for 4 days a month after coming home and the next was by ambulance just 4 week ago today for 1 week in PICU and 3 days on the infant floor. At Children's.
